try a programmer like hypertech or superchips?

But wouldn’t the ECU make adjustments to keep it running at stock settings?

If this is going to provide a boost to automotive fuel economy, it can be turned on when releasing the accelerator. Then, the hydrogen could be stored somewhere and made available for subsequent applications of the accelerator.

Go to waterpoweredcar . com and there you will find some of the blueprints and info on Stan Mayers car. You are doing it all wrong there. Study his plans. I think he got it somehow right. At least you can run a car efficiently with no polution, free gas, but you would have to charge it up in the evening. So electrical car, with hydrogen combustion hybrid. The point is not breaking the laws of thermodynamics, but to get rid of fossil fuel. You could charge with wind turbine and solar cells.

I really don’t understand how anyone can think this will increase a car’s mileage. It takes more energy to create the fuel than can be produced by consuming the fuel. Making seemingly scientific statements like “20-30% increased mileage” doesn’t change that fact.

sure, air that is more dense produces more power because there are more oxygen molecules in the same volume of air when it is cooler, therefore more fuel can be added and more power made. But your just after the cooling effect so your better off with alcohol injection, which will vaporize easier and burn more effectively being that it contains chemical energy as a fuel itself.

uhhh actually when the air temp is reduced you get air that is more dense…. and the more dense the air is the more fuel there is there for you get more energy out of the same volume… correct? I agree that it does not “aid” in combustion but the plain fact is that by injecting tiny amounts of water you end up demanding a more powerful spark but in the end you gain more our of the engine not just “merely” reduce the temp to prevent knocking

The theoretical energy you get from burning the hydrogen is equivalent to the energy needed to separate the H2O into H2 + O .. but you engine is not 100% efficient (only ~15%) so the short answer is NO it wont work .

Water is not used in performance engines to aid in combustion. Water is far from flammable and requires you to have more spark just to attain the same amount of combustion. Water is injected in performance engines merely to reduce temperature and prevent detonation ( knocking ).

Fail - the Iron is coming from the stainless steel, NaCl is corrosive so is electrolyses

I think if it’s made with precision machined materials it might be efficient enough to help our motor vehicles run with ~20-30% increased milage.

brown gas may aid combustion of gas a little, ,small amounts of water is pumped in some performance engines to aid combustion,it will be probably highly inefficient to run entirely on brown gas since it takes more to produce less, invention of a special chemical to speed up the production of brown gas or hydrogen may change hystory

my uncle got some plans off a web site (secrete for some reason) and got his suv to run with something like this.

I agree with you at this point…. you would need at least need 5% of the mixture to make the engine run at any efficiency gain…. Produce enough hydrogen to make a difference…. and due to the periodic table weight and mass of this gas …. you would need a massive storage tank …

If you increase the number of tubes to 4 or 5 it will draw less amps and produce a lot more gas vapor

making hydrogen gas at home is pretty much bad for the enviorment, do you know where they produce electricity? they use oil, coal, gas power plants(well most of them)

I love all your other videos, they’re awesome but this is the worst hho video ever. You should not use salt because of the clorine, it’s dangerous. Check out what other people are doing and make a new video. Again, all your other vids are awesome, don’t mean to be to hard.

Energy is not being created. Nobody is talking about 100% efficiency. Your engine will run more efficiently, though it make not make a difference in mileage. Normal air mixutre is less that 1% hydrogen. Increasing this number is better for even combustion.

  23. markweimer82 on Sat, 25th Apr 2009 9:47 pm

Instead of you car getting the normal fuel air mixture (less than 1% hydrogen), your engine is getting a mixture in which the with increased hydrogen. Hydrolisis will only complement cold air intake, not replace it. It theoretically works. However, you would have to make a whole heck of a lot of that stuff to have an impact.
